When should I arrive for my massage?

We recommend arriving 15 minutes early for your appointment. Early is always on time—this extra window ensures you can check in, settle in, and begin your session right on schedule. Arriving early also helps us keep all appointments running smoothly and respectfully for clients scheduled after you.

When should I arrive for my massage?

The ideal frequency for massage depends on individual needs, lifestyle, and wellness goals:

• For general relaxation or stress reduction:
Most people benefit from a massage every 2–4 weeks.

• For chronic tension, pain, or specific therapeutic goals:
A massage once a week (or even every 10 days) can be most effective until the issue improves.

• For acute injuries or rehabilitation:
A healthcare or massage professional may recommend multiple sessions per week for a short period, depending on the condition.

• For athletes or those with high physical demands:
Many benefits from massages 1–2 times per week during intense training periods.

Am I covered during my massage?

Deep-tissue massage should not hurt. While you may feel firm pressure or therapeutic intensity, it should always remain within a comfortable range. Our techniques are performed in stages to allow your muscles and connective tissue to warm up, release, and gradually adapt to the intended pressure.

Your comfort is our priority—always feel free to communicate with your therapist if you need any adjustments, whether that means more or less pressure.

Gratuity is always appreciated. While never required, tipping is a common way to show appreciation for your therapist’s care and skill.

For reference:

  • A typical gratuity for a 60-minute service ranges from $16–$25.

  • A typical gratuity for a 90-minute service ranges from $19–$30.

(These ranges reflect a standard 15–20% gratuity.)

Do I tip after my appointment?

Yes—talking is always allowed. That said, the biggest compliment you can give your massage therapist is actually falling asleep (snoring included!). It means your body is deeply relaxed and responding well to the work.

Your therapist may check in verbally from time to time to ensure the pressure is comfortable and to avoid any pain or injury. Other than that, the session is yours—feel free to chat, stay quiet, or drift off completely.

During group sessions, you’re welcome to relax and enjoy the environment while waiting for your massage. You may chat with your group, sip water, or simply unwind.
